Climbing plants offer many advantages in every garden and on every balcony: they go up in height and are ideal for dividing the garden and creating beautiful corners. We list the five most beautiful types of climbing plants.
1 honeysuckle
The honeysuckle is a climbing plant with small green leaves. The flowers are beautiful; they look like chandeliers and are flame colored with yellow, pink and purple. The honeysuckle can withstand sun well. He must be guided as he climbs, by supporting or tying the tendrils. Honeysuckle thrives best in fertile, well-drained soil.
There are evergreen and deciduous varieties of honeysuckle. The deciduous species has the advantage that the flowers smell in the evenings. A summer terrace with Lonicera heckrotti is therefore enveloped in a wonderful scent on summer evenings. The bloom is followed by red berries, which are not edible.
Lonicera henryi stays green in winter and is denser with leaves, but not as intensely scented. In the autumn, black berries appear on the plant, which are decorative for a long time.
